Blender Art Magazine Updates

Yes, I know! It’s been a very long time since I last posted. For those interested, I’ve been so busy with work, college, and did I mention work!? I’ve been so busy designing the web that I haven’t had time to post any of my work even! Blender has come along and it’s nice to see that this great magazine is still pumping out a bunch of great tutorials. Somewhere in all of this chaos I’m going to have to try some of them out…

Blender Art Magazine 11 Released!

The BlenderArt magazine Issue #11 is available to download! The main theme for this number is Mechanical, which gives us 60 pages of art and tutorials about modeling and rendering techniques, for creating mechanical models in Blender. If you ever wanted to use Blender as a CAD modeling software, this might be your change to learn some nice tricks for modeling with precision.

Published In BlenderArt Magazine #7

Yes, that’s right the Anniversary edition of Blender Art Magazine #7 was published today and it featured three of my articles submitted to the magazine along with one picture which was published. It’s not everyday that you get published let alone three times, so I’m really quite excited. I’m glad that they found a use for them and I hope that the information on Glow, DOF, and Compositor Nodes helps a Blenderhead down the road!

Bouncing Ball Compositor Tests

This is the sequel to my Crazy Face Animation Tests post a few weeks ago. I’ve been busy working on articles for BlenderNation and BlenderArt Magazine and have been reviewing various methods of creating cartoon compositions in Blender. I set out to prove that Blender can be used entirely as a 2D compositor and not just 3D tool. The results were, well, not the impressive but an ok animation was created from it!
