Is Google Trying to Kill Me?

Posted May 27th, 2008 in Blog

Check out the Trashy Van Too!This is kind of random but I think that my beloved Google is trying to kill me. I’m not kidding, just take a look at the photo in this post. There I was, just minding my own business, looking up direction to a near by cafe when suddenly I heard that psycho music playing in the background and the grim shadow rising over my laptop. It was then I knew Google was trying to kill me…

I mean I survived because like all good men we don’t actually follow the directions, but some other poor schmuck could get killed following Google’s driving advice. I feel like sewing them for attempted ehomocide. They lured me into going the wrong direction into on coming traffic! Oh, thankfully I didn’t bite.

But seriously, Google Maps just keeps getting better. I was just plotting my course to the cafe when I noticed those little picture icons next to the steps. I clicked on one and to my surprise you can actually do a 3D panorama of the scenery! It was awesome to just click through as my virtual ride took the highway and exited over to the stoplight which instantly turned red, which I promptly ran through, onto the curb, and then back into on-coming traffic. Amazing! What will Google think of next?

By the way, check out the tricked out van! Can you say junk?
